Summary

  • Select a host-specific mise root config so other hosts do not inherit kid-charlemagne's settings.
  • Remove global tool versions and global npm/Python install tasks from the root config.
  • Keep ~/.config/mise real, migrate only the symlink managed by this checkout, and preserve unrelated directory content and symlinks.
  • Add setup regression tests for host selection and symlink edge cases.

Verification

  • bash tests/setup-mise-host-selection.sh passes.
  • bash tests/setup-mcp-host-selection.sh passes.
